Using the words from the song
“We Are The World”,
Fensang Ngourmissala delivered the Invocation at today’s meeting.
“There comes a time
When we heed
a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh, and it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all”

Freedom House Detroit was last week’s presenter at our meeting. Located in Southwest Detroit, Freedom House serves individuals and families seeking humanitarian protection and asylum from persecution, torture and death in their homeland. Freedom House provides legal services, community housing, food, clothing, housing search assistance, access to medical care and mental health care, language classes, and job skills training. If you believe, as we do, that the words on the Statue of Liberty’s pedestal are not just a promise, but a call to action and that our country is stronger when we welcome those yearning to breathe free, then Freedom House Detroit is Your Home.

With sadness, we mourn the passing of John Snyder who left us on November 12, 2023.
John joined the Rotary Club of Dearborn in 1986 and served as our President in 1995-96.

John wrote to us last year to commemorate our 100th anniversary
What did Rotary mean to me?    Everything!!

The men and women of Rotary gave me the ball and I ran with it. I was instantly committed to the job ahead. I didn’t want to let them down. Rotary was in my blood and gave me a picture of what I needed to do. The Club had confidence in me.
