Roger Miller
Dearborn Rotarian, Roger Miller was recognized for his 50th Anniversary in the club. Roger was sponsored into the club by his father, Harry Miller who joined the club in 1939. Between Father Harry, Son Roger and Mother Edith, the Millers have been continuous members of the club or its auxiliary for 84 years. Congratulating Roger was Bob Ziolkowski who said of Roger: Year after Year, Roger has been the Rotarian behind the scenes whose attention to detail has enhanced the Rotary experience for everyone. The Rotary Club will be making a donation of $500 in Roger’s name to the charity of his choice.

Congratulations to Roger with wishes for many more years as a Dearborn Rotarian.

Jim Ives
Rotarian Jim Ives was remembered for his 32 years of Service Above Self as a Dearborn Rotarian. .Jim has now joined the Rotary Club of St.Clair in District 6330. His new club is close to his home where wife, Diane has been a member  for three years.

Rotarian, Margaret Blohm remembered Jim for many his contributions to our cub and District. Jim served as Club President in 1997-98 and was District Governor in 2004-05. Jim answered the call as designer and administrator when the club needed a first class website. He was also the publisher of the x-ray and reminded members weekly of meetings and upcoming events. Jim was always willing and ready to support the club and its members. 

In recognition of his many years of service, the Rotary Club will be making a donation of $500 in Jim’s name to the charity of his choice.

Colleen Nieman 
President 2020-2021
Co-President 2022-2023

President Colleen’s initial hashtag invitation was to #KeepBecomingRotary. This evolved into the affirmation that our Dearborn Club #KeepBeingRotary during her first year as president in a lingering pandemic. 

Early in 2022,  when President-Elect, Rick Goward passed away, plans were already in motion to celebrate our club’s 100th anniversary with a Gala Entertainment Event and Major Fund Raising effort to benefit the Henry Ford Centennial Library. In an exceptional example of Service Above Self, Past President Colleen and outgoing President Shannon banded together to become the club’s first Co-Presidents for our 100th Anniversary Year 2022-23

Shannon Peterson
President 2021-2022
Co-President 2022-2023Shannon Peterson has a long and proud history in the City of Dearborn, teaching in the Dearborn Public School System for 16 years before assuming leadership roles for the district, then returning to her love of working with students as principal of Long  Elementary.

When President Shannon and Past-President Colleen quickly stepped up as Co-Presidents for 2022-23 after Rick Goward’s death, they built on his commitment to celebrate our 100th Anniversary with a Gala  Event and major Fund Raising project to benefit the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium renovation.
